Slack Integration

Connect Klime to Slack for daily digests, conversation tracking, real-time insights, and AI chat.

Connect Slack to get daily digests, track customer conversations, chat with @klime, and receive insights in real time.

Connecting Slack

  1. Click Connect Slack in Settings > Integrations
  2. Authorize Klime in your Slack workspace
  3. You're all set!
    • In your Slack workspace, type /invite @klime to invite the bot to a channel
    • In Settings > Insights, select which channels should receive notifications

Daily Digest

Every weekday morning, Klime posts a digest to your selected channel containing:

  • The insights from the last day (churn risks, growth, reactivations, and more)
  • A summary of what's important across your customer base
  • An activity chart showing daily active customers
  • Highlights of growing and at-risk customers

Click any customer name to open their detail page in the Klime dashboard.

Real-time Insights

Get insights delivered to your selected channel the moment they're triggered. When Klime detects something important (a customer churning, a new sign-up activating, a team expanding), it posts immediately so you can act fast.

Configure this in Settings > Insights by toggling Real-time on and selecting a channel.

Conversations

If you use Slack Connect channels with your customers, Klime can track those conversations automatically. Add the Klime bot to any shared channel and it will start capturing messages. Each day, messages are rolled up into a transcript that shows up on when you view the customer's details.

Setting it up

  1. In Slack, invite the bot: /invite @klime in a Slack Connect channel
  2. Klime automatically matches the channel to a customer based on the email domains of external members
  3. If auto-matching doesn't find a match, you can link the channel manually from the sidebar on a customer's details page

The linked channel is always visible in the customer sidebar, so you know exactly which conversations are being tracked.

How it works

  • Messages are stored in real time as they come in, and also saved once a day in a transcript
  • Klime can reference these conversations in insights and chat, so you can have the full story when you need it

External users in the shared channel cannot interact with the Klime bot. Their messages are tracked, but the bot only responds to your team.

Chat

Mention @klime in any channel to ask questions about your customers:

@klime which customers are at risk?
@klime tell me about Acme Inc
@klime who signed up this week?

Klime responds with insights based on your actual customer data. Ask follow-up questions in the same thread — Klime remembers the conversation context. You'll need to @mention Klime in each message, even within a thread.

See Chat for more example prompts.

Troubleshooting

Bot not responding? Make sure the Klime bot is added to the channel, or try reconnecting in Settings.

Missing digests? Check that notifications are enabled in Settings > Insights and the selected channel still exists.

Still having trouble? Reauthorize the Slack app: Reauthorize Slack. (Admin required.)

Switching to a Different Workspace

Signed up with the wrong Slack workspace? Here's how to switch:

  1. Log out of Klime — Go to Settings → Log out
  2. Log out of Slack — Go to slack.com, click your workspace name → Log out
  3. Log into the correct workspace — At slack.com, sign in and select the workspace you want
  4. Sign back into Klime — Return to klime.com/login and click Log in with Slack

Why is this necessary? When you click "Log in with Slack", Slack automatically uses your most recent browser session. Logging out of Klime alone doesn't change which workspace Slack picks — you need to log out of Slack too.

Quick alternative: Use an incognito/private browser window to sign into Slack with the correct workspace, then sign into Klime from there.

Using Multiple Workspaces

Want to use Klime with more than one workspace? Each Slack workspace becomes a separate organization in Klime.

  1. Log in with your first workspace
  2. Log out of Klime (and Slack, per the steps above)
  3. Log in again with your second workspace
  4. You're now a member of both — switch between them by changing the dashboard URL

Privacy

Klime reads messages in channels where the bot has been added. It cannot access channels it hasn't been invited to, and it cannot modify your workspace settings. External users in shared channels cannot interact with the bot or access your Klime data.
